After playing 4 years of hockey at RMU, he began his professional career with the Syracuse Crunch in the AHL where he went to the Calder Cup Finals. That summer, Eric attended the Nashville Predators main camp before finding his way into the ECHL. Eric spent the next 10 years as a journeyman, playing for 13 different teams. He played on two championship teams, winning the ECHL title with the Newfoundland Growlers in 2019 and the Peoria Rivermen in the SPHL in 2022. The final 3 years of Eric’s career he declined call ups and made Peoria home playing for the Rivemen. Eric went on to set the SPHL record for career shutouts with 18 and ranks 2nd all time in wins with the Rivermen franchise with 99, and accumulated 119 in his pro career. In 2019 during the pandemic, Eric completed his 200 hr YTT yoga training and has been teaching classes ever since. Yoga has not only helped Eric’s athletic career immensely, but given his personal life so much balance and peace.
