Austyn Roudebush

Austyn is entering his 8th season of professional hockey as a goaltender in the SPHL. He grew up in Toledo, Ohio, and played ACHA Division I hockey at Adrian College, where he bacame a National Champion, Playoff MVP, and Player of the Year. After starting his pro career in Sweden, he found himself signing with the Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs, where he’s spent the past 7 seasons.

During his time in Roanoke, Roudy has earned awards such as Player of the Week, Player of the Month, Playoff MVP, and Presidents Cup Champion. This season, he is on track to reach a career milestone by becoming the SPHL’s all-time wins leader among goaltenders.

When Roudy isn’t on the ice, he works in retail analytics, coaches and mentors youth goaltenders, and is in the process of earning his real estate license in preparation for life after hockey. Since moving to Roanoke, he has developed a passion for hiking the Appalachian mountains, reading, listening to podcasts, working out, and spending time with friends and loved ones. Looking ahead, Austyn is excited to pursue new hobbies such as archery, traveling, craftsmanship, and sharing his wealth of knowledge with the next generation of goaltenders.
